All Eyes & Ears on Moscone Today…

Today is the long anticipated Apple WWDC event, being held at Moscone Center to begin promptly at 11 a.m. PST.  Already, the halls are filling up, the bloggers have begun to post videos and blogs about what is anticipated.  The odds on favorite, obviously, is the announcement of the new Apple 3G iPhone.  There is speculation about the possibility of multiple versions and a lower price.  Certainly the markets will not react favorably if there is a delay in the release of the highly anticipated 3G model.

There were some interesting video posts late last week showing FedEx trucks entering and exiting Apples third party DC facility, with many pallets of unmarked boxed… speculated to be the 3G phone bound for authorized retail locations across the country in anticipation of the “Big Release” today.

It will be less than an hour before the event begins and I certainly wish I had a front row seat to the highly publicized and anticipated event.  There is certain to be some great reporting and further speculation coming out of the event.  Hopefully the results will not be the same as Big Brown’s bewildering performance at Belmont on Saturday.  Anything short of the new 3G iPhone release today would be the equivalent to Big Brown not winning the Triple Crown.
